Before you order
This page gathers what Sun Home publishes about the Eclipse, checked Oct 16, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install.
Who should buy the Eclipse?
The Eclipse suits two people who want red light with their infrared and like starting a session from an app. Sun Home fits it with eight infrared heaters and two red light panels at 650 and 850 nm, and rates it to 165°F (74°C).
Without red light, the Equinox costs about $3,800 less. Sun Home's Pod carries a red light panel in a round cabin for one.
What does it take to install?
The cabin measures about 52 by 47 inches, stands 77 inches tall and weighs 600 pounds. It needs a dedicated 120V, 30-amp circuit ending in a NEMA L5-30 twist-lock receptacle, which most homes will have to add. Sun Home says to plan on two people for the magnetic panels.

What to know before you buy
Cedar, full-spectrum, red light, 120V dedicated. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- CedarCedar resists rot and insects naturally, and it's aromatic. It conducts heat poorly, so the benches stay cool enough to sit on in a hot room.
- Full-SpectrumA full-spectrum cabin gives you the widest wavelength coverage you can buy, since it adds near and mid infrared to far infrared in one room.
- 120V Dedicated CircuitThis model plugs in at 120V on a circuit of its own, through a heavier-duty outlet than a standard wall socket. If your home doesn't have one, an electrician adds the circuit and the outlet.
