Before you order
This page gathers what Setri Barrel Saunas publishes about the 4-Person Cedar Barrel, checked Oct 10, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install.
Who should buy the 4-Person Cedar Barrel?
Setri's barrel suits a cabin or a yard where you'd rather burn wood than run a 240V circuit. The stove loads from outside, so the bathers stay put while someone feeds the fire.
If you want a thermostat and a schedule, buy an electric barrel like the Almost Heaven Pinnacle instead.
What does it take to install?
The barrel is 6 by 6 feet and weighs about 800 pounds, so it needs a level base that can carry it. The stove needs its chimney and the clearances your building department sets. Setri doesn't post freight terms, so get the delivery quote in writing before you pay.

What to know before you buy
Western red cedar, wood-burning. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- Western Red CedarWestern Red Cedar is the high-end sauna wood, and it resists rot and insects naturally. It's aromatic and conducts heat poorly, so benches stay cool enough to sit on at 194°F (90°C).
- Wood-FiredA log stove heats the room, so the sauna runs fully off-grid and the crackling fire becomes part of the ritual. Fans of wood heat call its löyly the softest. Plan for a chimney and about 45–60 min of heat-up.
