Before you order

This page gathers what Kuuma publishes about the BluFlame, checked Oct 10, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install. Our verdict on it runs in Kuuma sauna stove review: the Classic Legacy suits most rooms.

Who should buy the BluFlame?

The BluFlame suits a wood-heat purist with a room of 336 to 900 cubic feet and a building department that accepts an unlisted stove. It burns the wood gas a second time inside the firebox, and the Banya surround holds several hundred pounds of rock.

If your county wants a UL 1482 listing, buy Kuuma's Classic Legacy for about $1,600 less.

What does it take to install?

The stove takes a 6-inch flue. Single-wall pipe can run to 18 inches below the ceiling, Class A chimney goes through it, and Kuuma requires a damper and recommends a 4-inch outside-air vent. It weighs 375 to 405 pounds with its firebrick and burns logs up to about 15 inches.

What does the BluFlame cost all in?

Class A chimney	Varies	Not included

By our math, filling the Banya surround with Kuuma's own rock adds $250 to $400. Kuuma takes a $1,000 non-refundable deposit with each order.
