Who should buy the AK Series?
The AK Series suits a steam room of 60 to 550 cubic feet, and up to three units can be ganged for rooms to 1,500. Amerec builds it in Cokato, Minnesota, and it's ETL listed for the US and Canada. Its control cuts a third or two-thirds of the elements once the room is hot.
ThermaSol's PRO Series III covers bigger single rooms and adds a self-cleaning cycle.
What does it take to install?
An electrician field-wires it for 208V or 240V, single or three phase. The AK9, for example, draws 38 amps and sits on a 50-amp breaker at 240V single phase. The generator weighs 35 pounds and ships in a box about 22 by 20 by 10.5 inches.
